Need more practice?

Hello students,

Many of you have asked me for more homework (!) so I am listing some helpful websites here for you to get extra practice. Enjoy!

• Activities for ESL students  - a website with self-study quizzes for grammar and vocabulary

• English-Spanish vocabulary quizzes  - a website for practicing vocabulary 

• Listen and repeat videos - YouTube videos for you to work on pronunciation at home 

• Read and listen - a website with articles that you can read and listen to at the same time. Perfect for working on your English ear! 

• An American English course - Learn English from the Voice of America 

• A British English course -  Learn English from the BBC 

Don't forget that I recommended two applications for your mobile devices: Duolingo and Memrise. Here is a list of podcasts that can also help to improve your listening skills:

• Luke's English Podcast - a British podcaster with over 600 episodes! 

• Storycorps - an American nonprofit that collects stories from people from all walks of life. 

• Culips - They have several podcasts. Try their "Simplified Speech" series where they talk normal English at a slower pace. 

Whenever you have a free moment is a good time to practice your English!
